Fortitude Through Music

Successfully running for over 7 years! ‘Fortitude Through Music’ is an SONIG Youth Music Industry flagship initiative.

Fortitude is an exciting 8 week course for those who have an interest and passion in music and the creative industries

The project is delivered through RecRock, independent tutors and funded through RCT Families First.

Suitable for Beginners

Fortitude Through Music is for participants living in Rhondda Cynon Taf, and are aged between 16 – 24.

The project in addition, supports young people who are not currently in education, employment, or training. Teaching valuable new skills and experiences from professionals within the creative industries.

Learning New Skills

Whether you sing, play an instrument, or want to gain more confidence or encouragement. Then Fortitude is the course for you!

All abilities welcome for the duration of the course. Participants will touch on subjects, such as song recording, in addition to making music videos and many more!

Mental health is arguably one of the most difficult factors in everyday lives for young people. From anxiety to autism, we understand this can add difficulty for the future. At Fortitude we aim to empower you through the means of music.

The course is also the perfect opportunity for you to help tackle and manage your circumstances. Through self-development techniques but also having fun along the way, by playing some music!
