About Hot Jam Rock Schools

Working with SONIG & Youth Arts for over 5 years, Hot Jam Rock Schools help young people express themselves through songwriting, recording and performance.
We have also worked closely with Hot Jam delivering and bringing these courses to everyone. That has been shaped by the input of the team, also including young peoples feedback!

Hot Jam FAQ

Hot Jam Rock Schools run independent music courses across South Wales.

In partnership since 2015 with Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council’s Arts and Creative Industries Team (SONIG & Youth Arts), we both establish courses across the county.

Aimed towards helping young people gain enthusiasm through contemporary styles of music, we’ve both supported participants looking to strive a career within the creative industries.

Led by qualified teachers and professional musicians. Their aim is to educate and enthuse participants through access to rock, pop and other contemporary styles using fully immersive interactive events.

This includes seven songwriting courses (over a three day period) including an online course!

Hot Jam offers a variety of courses and workshops for participants.

These courses and workshops include:

  • Live music workshops
  • Songwriting sessions (including online sessions)
  • Songwriting Courses
