Launched in 2010, The Young Promoters Network has orchestrated many live music events across Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Bringing young people together to share their love and passion for live music. For those aged 16-25 and currently living in Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Also to provide artists, bands, and even sound engineers with the tools they need. Simultaneously gaining the promotional skills to host their own future events. Eventually, forging a pathway in the creative industries sector.

The Young Promoters Network provides and connects young people with real life experience of event promotion as well as many other aspects of the music industry.

About The YPN

A collective of like-minded young people, aged 16-25, working together to connect fellow young people to music industry opportunities. The project is driven by young people who play an active part in designing and delivering every aspect.

Young Promoters Network FAQ

Established in 2010 after the successful ‘Fight Night’ Band Nights at the Muni Arts Centre. Along with other successful band nights across the region. In which young people had been involved with the creation and managing of these events.
The YPN was formed to support these talented and creative individuals achieve these ambitions, in prospects to help push forward a career in the creative industries.
Since then, the YPN have orchestrated many live music events, workshops and career opportunities across RCT, successfully bringing young people aged 16 – 25 together to share in their love of music.
Since 2010 the YPN has supported young people aged between 16-25 across RCT, by connecting each other with music.
The YPN not only helps networking and managing with young people, we thrive to offer music industry opportunities along with career pathways within the creative sector.
Wether you’re an artist/band wanting to reach out and promote gigs. Or have a strong passional interest behind the scenes such as sound engineering.

The YPN is here to help deliver these opportunities for young people!

 

Our aims is to not only to support pathways through music but also to create a strong resilience platform for those from disadvantage backgrounds as well.
We aim to:
  • Empower young people by providing them with a new skill-set.
  • Building self-confidence.
  • Increase the opportunities within the live music sector for young people.
  • Help participants learn what it will take to forge careers within Creative Industries sector using a practical hands-on approach.
  • Generate bespoke workshops.
  • Host industry-related seminars.
  • Create networking opportunities.
  • Identify platforms for emerging talent.
  • Identify career pathways and progression routes.
  • Provide opportunities to perform at YPN events.
