Orginally known locally as the YMCA, YMa is a complete re-imagining of the original Pontypridd YMCA building. Of course with a modern twist! In which the original building was constructed over a hundred years ago, in 1910 within Pontypridd Town Centre.

Opening their doors in September 2022 the redeveloped YMa building will not only regenerate life into the building, from the original design, but also regenerate life within the local arts community around Pontypridd.

The name YMa also ties in to the Welsh word for ‘here’, while also embracing it’s history form it’s original YMCA name.
