Do you like listening to music? Play an instrument? But want to get better or learn a new set of skills? Look towards Fortitude!
A great place to come together for all beginners and lovers of music.
You’ll learn a whole new set of skills and gain experience from professional musicians, independent tutors from our partners at RecRock! You’ll learn new skills through a variety of activities that are common practices within the creative industries.
Including song recording, creating a music video, live performance, and many more!
You’ll also meet like-minded individuals throughout the duration of the course. Which is the perfect opportunity to make new friends, who share a similar passion through music, or even the same musical tastes!
The course also aims to provide resilience and confidence boosting for those who may be under difficult circumstances. We achieve this through the many fields within the creative industries and through music. Enabling those to come out of the course after its duration, as better resilient individuals.
Whether you like Pop-Punk, Jazz, Metal, Soul or Indie it doesn’t matter to us, all genres of music are welcome!

What is Fortitude?
Fortitude is an exciting music focused 8 week course for young people who have an interest in music
Living in Rhondda Cynon Taf and aged between 16 – 25
Who is this course for?
Whether you just like to listen to music or would like to have a go at writing songs, this course is a chance to meet with like-minded people and learn new skills!
Try out playing instruments, song writing, rapping, singing, making a music video and find out about other roles in music & the creative industries by chatting to our professional tutors.
When does the course run?
Fortitude Through Music Course is held every year in Rhondda Cynon Taf
Courses are 2 days a week with a timeframe of 10am – 3:30pm
Fortitude Through Music 2024 will run between Oct – Dec 2024
